Hi, I’m Will Pearson, welcome to my website. It’s where I post articles and blog posts relating to the intersection of my professional and personal interests.
A bit about me: I’m an experienced senior exec in design, technology and education. I’ve worked with large lottery funders, set up my own mobile dev company, directed creative industries investment agencies and worked to establish the technical infrastructure of one of London’s most dynamic design and media institutes, Ravensbourne.
I have broad interests in inclusive design and the psychological and semiotic factors that influence the development and use of technology by a broad cross-section of people. The PhD I completed at SMARTlab, UCD in 2017 focused on the inclusive design principles applied to mobile talking books, and their affective and imaginative qualities by focusing on the sonic qualities they might have designed in.
I currently work in a number of positions: academic engagement for Connected Places Catapult and acting as an assessor for Innovate UK and as a Chief External Examiner for the University of Westminster. If you’d like to get in touch to talk about your work, great! Please use the contact page to get in touch.
